Sant Pere de Torelló belongs to the Osona region in the province of Barcelona. It is located at the northern end of the plain of Vic, at the confluence of the River Ges and the River Horno, and borders the Ripollès and Garrotxa regions. It occupies an area of 57.47km2, at 621m above sea level, and has about 2,491 inhabitants.
The population is distributed between the town centre and a large number of farmhouses scattered throughout the town area.
Currently, to the north it borders Vidrà, to the east Joanetes and Santa Maria de Corcó, to the south Torelló and Sant Vicenç de Torelló and to the west, San Vicenç again and Besora and Orís. It is a very rugged territory, especially to the north, where it meets the foothills of the Sierra de Bellmunt, with the Sierra de Curull and the Sierra de Lanceros.
